Where I am.

I have all ready made a start to this project so I thought it might be useful to bring this blog up to date! Having all ready completed my research into the six artists I had a good idea of their mix of styles and techniques and I also feel that I had strong connection linking each artist to one another.

So, I needed to start to make some choices of the format of my magazine, for the simple fact of my budget, I decided to create the magazine 8'' by 8'' which I figure does allow me to have a larger range of paper stocks to choose from in A4 rather than the lower price range of A3 I would have to choose from.

With this in mind I started to create a grid which would fit nicely on the page, I choose large margins on the outside and bottom to give space for the reader to hold the magazine, due to it's compact size I feel that the publication will allow for quicker, coffee table reading, and making it easier to hold will emphasize this point.

To help me work within the constraints I have all ready set I went about creating a mock-up of the magazine by hand, which allows me to make many changes to the design and also to continuously evaluate my designs on the page.

Reflection on SIX Mag

This blog is a continuation from my previous Six Degrees Blog (http://sixdegreesandyt.blogspot.com) and covers my reflection on how I use the information found during my research project to create both a print and screen publication.

If you have any comments on anything I post up constructive criticism will be welcomed!
